Full-time Quality Assurance Manager

at Gnutti Carlo Canada Ltd. in SW Ontario - Other

Job Objectives

1) Maintain customer certification programs. Develop and maintain quality policies and quality systems at Gnutti.  Maintain Customer quality information system.

  • Write inspection procedures
  • Maintain Quality Manuals
  • Maintain gauge system
  • Maintain inspection records
  • Ensure traceability
  • Lead and maintain PPAP process at Gnutti

2) Develop annual quality improvement (A.Q.I.) plans to improve as delivered product quality to customers.

3) Initiate contact or respond to customers related to Quality issues affecting Gnutti.

  • Coordinate corrective action
  • Maintain customer liaison in problem resolution

4) Develop Quality Assurance department Budget and Three-Month Rolling Forecast and monitor performance.

5) Improve Supplier’s as delivered quality through supplier quality audits and part specific initiatives.

6) Communicate Gnutti quality performance to management and plant on a regular basis.

7) Provide guidance for subordinates in all aspects of the business relating to their responsibilities. Support Employee
Involvement and Continuous Improvement teams. Communicate regularly with subordinates and assist in general plant
communications when required.

8) Conduct departmental meeting and include safety in the discussion.

9) Training

Practice continuous improvement in the methods that we use to assure quality for daily production. Establish and maintain scheduling system that will support both production and new project requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Education
10 years’ experience in manufacturing
Formal training in quality systems
5 years’ experience in quality assurance
2-5 years supervisory experience as asset, preference will be given for previous quality management experience including
certification maintenance, auditing, and customer and supplier management
Firm understanding of APQP process, familiarity with core tools
Minimum Grade 12, Technical diploma at college or university is beneficial
Additional training or certification in the quality field is also recommended
Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with other people
Knowledge of problem solving techniques
Basic understanding of statistical methods
Thorough knowledge of metallurgy
PC skills to use spreadsheets, email, Microsoft office.
ERP system & SAP experience will be given preference
